    We got our brand new tub on 10/2/21, on 10/4/21 there was visible water on the patio and water loss had been noted since filling it two days prior. Opened front cover and there was some standing water in the bottom, all visible connections were checked again (they were all checked two days prior) and there was no visible leak. We called the dealer they sent out a repair man and he hasn't found the leak yet. He believes it might be in the foot well which means cutting out the bottom of our BRAND NEW TUB! We are losing water at a rate of 1.5 inches/24 hours which means adding more water and more chemicals every two days. We've had our tub 6 days, worked our butts off for a year to get it, new electrical box, new patio and saving to pay it all...six days into it and it's been nothing but problems. 3 year warranty against leaks...ours didn't last three days!

    I love my X8 Bullfrog Spa. The dealer was informative and answered all of my questions. He explained how the Ease chemical system works and it works well. The installation was a snap, just connected the wire to the spa and it began working great and has built in electrical protections as well.
    The Ease chemical system keeps the water balanced and I rarely have to add any chemicals to the spa. It is very well insulated, and once desired temperature is reached, the heater rarely has to kick on. I don't even notice a bump on my monthly utility bill.
    I love it and would definitely recommend it to anybody.

    It's a shame to make a great spa with a lot of features, only to ruin the experience with uncomfortable headrests. I actually like most about it aside from it being hard to balance the chemicals and these darn headrests. They are hard as a rock and point out slightly rather than concave like a pillow should be. As a result, it makes what would be a great experience a not so great one. I can only guess that it is intentional to make you want to upgrade which I would have done if I had the opportunity to try the X8 before I bought it. I would not purchase in hindsight. I did try to reach out to Bullfrog about it but did not receive a response.

    Less than 8 months old spa developed blisters in gel coat. Manufacturer replaced under warranty took six weeks for a replacement. 2nd hot tub was in service about 3 weeks and and nut on main pump broke and emptied hot tube while we were gone over weekend. Concerned now about damage to pumps and heater running without water. Dealer taking 2 weeks to send someone out. Unit doesn't get warm enough and I think it's due to poor insulation. When they make repairs to the tub the spray foam does not get replaced either. I would say poor quality control.



    Our Bullfrog X8 shipped with some defects. The neck jet was plumbed missing connections and bypassed the turn off valve so the noisy neck jet ran constantly no matter what. Our installer was able to fix this after a few months. The tub also shipped with a leak that still has yet to be fixed and is getting worse. We're losing about 1/4 of the water every two weeks. The are some other minor issues like the LED lighting never turns off all the way -- there is always a dim glow from the lighting. The plastic filter cover kind of bangs around making a racket. We have a location where there isn't any light pollution or traffic noise so these design issues become noticeable. We also live in a very cold climate - one of the reasons we chose Bullfrog - but the pumps circulate very frequently adding to the cost of operation. I'm not convinced this tub is insulated enough for cold climates

    The spa got delivered on. January 4,2021, but 1 of the pumps was not working, the led lights did not work and the door for the cell phone storage was broken.
    Not a good start for your company!

    As of mid February all problems have been fixed and the spa seems to be working fine.

    We waited and waited and waited and then it finally arrived with a cracked front corner panel. Not a huge deal although still waiting on it to be replaced. But since we have owned it, it has shut off on several occasions causing issues with the filtering and finally had a service person come out. Turns out there is an issue with the Ozone which then led to finding issues with the main board being faulty. To make matters worse, we cant get it fixed as we need to drain, replace and fill but it needs to be above freezing. So for having the tub for a month and a half, we have only been able to enjoy it a handful of times. It has been extremely disappointing to say the least.

    Very disappointed in our spa, we got it in December 2020 and have used it once. The chemicals are hard to balance and cannot get them right, not happy with the cartridge system, we have had two other spa prior to this and no troubles at all. We are second guessing our decision. It looks pretty but that's it.
