    Reviews for the R7

Very Happy with our investment. Relaxing & Easy to care for.

    Best Hot Tub Ever

We love the spa. I had read on the Bullfrog Facebook group that a lot of dealers were allowing customers to switch out a jet pack within so many days of ownership. I was told blankly '..no, that is why we do water tests in the store.' Disappointed in that.

    We love the spa.

We love our R7 and have used it for over a year now. It has performed well with no hardware issues and through winter. The jet paks really helps our aches and pains. Our Neckblaster jet pak has jets protruding from the shoulder area and they are too low for us to fit into the seat without squatting down. Found the Frogease system very very expensive. Much easier, less expensive and more environmentally friendly to use a bromine float. Cell phone cubby is too small and it has caused my phone to automatically dial 911 twice. Electricity costs appear to be much higher once spa put into use despite low cost claims. Keep it at 102 degrees but do not use any energy saving features as due to Covid we are mostly home now. I actually find myself shifting the jet pacs on occasion to fit the different seats (captain vs reg) as well as my views.

Despite the minor notes above, I highly recommend Bullfrog and the R7.

Love it but a few items to note

I like my R7 overall, but I can't give it a 5 because it's just not as comfortable as I would like. I'm 5'4" with a small frame, so about average height for a woman, and I can't use the two back seats at all, unless I literally crouch with my feet on the seat! The two front seats are a bit better, but still there is nowhere to brace my feet, and in those seats I'm staring at the wall instead of out into the backyard. I actually prefer the in-between seats, but then I don't get the fun of the jet packs. I would've bought the R6, as that one is a bit shallower, but I didn't like that it only came with 3 jet packs and one pump. In hindsight, maybe it would've been a better choice for me, but there was no unit to wet test during COVID. Keep in mind that if you get the R7L, the lounger is in the front, so the only corner seats you'll have will be the really deep ones, plus another side seat with a jet pack that looks way too cramped with the corner seat. One final gripe - the Neck Masseuse jet pack is so loud because of the water rushing from the shoulder piece. I prefer keeping that pump off so I can enjoy a quieter soak with the packs on the other side (Rainshower and Trio are really quiet!). Overall, I like the R7, but I would really appreciate better design for those under 6' and a better footwell for bracing feet. If I move and leave this spa behind, I can't say I would purchase the R7 again.

Overall great, but wish it was more comfortable for smaller/average height people

I will never buy another brand hot tub! Bullfrogs are so easy to clean and maintain. They look nice and are easy to use. I have had mine since 2018 and never an issue with it and my family uses it all year round. One of the best features is the individual jet packs so you can customize your spa. Totally worth every penny!

Our bullfrog spa has been virtually maintenance free since we bought it. Keeping up with the water testing and filter changing has been super easy. For any minor fix, our dealer, Niagara Hot Tubs has been super quick to respond. We have never had any issues with the controls. Super easy to operate and maintain!

There isn't anything we don't like with our Bullfrog Spa! It's great for our physical and mental health. Being able to change jet packs is an amazing perk.

We enjoy our spa and use it almost daily for the two plus years we have had it. It is pretty easy to maintain and has been trouble free. I have several suggestions ( I always find it interesting that companies don't ask for feedback):
    - I live in the woods next to a creek. While the jets are nice and we do use them a lot, We actually also really enjoy just soaking in the hot water and listening to the sounds of nature. Unfortunately, the 'loose' design of the filter cover results in harsh clanking noises if either of us move at all. Are we the only ones that sometimes enjoy a quiet soak?
    - the seats are too deep. I am 5'7" and when the spa is at indicated water level I am not able to sit in any of the seats without putting my leg under me. Seems like in a spa of this size, at least one seat could be designed for folks under 6'.
-spa equipment cover. When we do occasionally have to remove the cover it is such a bear to replace. Just not well engineered to feel like you are going to break it to put it on.
    - winterizing. The first time we winterized, I had your local reps come and do it. Even they couldn't reach all of the valves that needed to be opened to completely drain the spa. I think more thought could be put into the layout.

Two years in. Mostly quite happy but We have suggestions
