    This M8 Hot Tub is our second product from Bullfrog. The first Hop Tub worked great, good filter system, speakers had to be replaced often so they are not worth the cost. The manual provided only shows the cartridges style but the M8 has these month replaceable accordion style that will not stay in place. Jet motor 2 is loader than the other two motors but the dealer says it is fine. I don't think so. Lastly the Hot Tub continues to trip the circuit breaker on hot days. We live in Florida so HOT DAYS are normal. Election says it's the Hot Tub. The dealer cannot find out what is wrong because when he visits the Hot Tub is working fine. In closing we love the M8 look and jet packs but the quality and the service is why we are giving the M8 Tub a low score. We are hoping that the warranty will not run out before we have all problems fixed. Bull Frog recommend that you develop a modification to install the cartridge style filter for the M series Hot Tub.

    I like my hot tub very much, however there's a few things that Bullfrog needs to improve on. First, the snaps that hold the cover down are poor quality. They're made of plastic and will need to be replaced due to simple use. Secondly, the bars that hold the cover while hot tub is in use are poor quality and potentially will damage the hot tub.     Issues I've had:
    I'm still stuck without a step. I paid $1,000 for a step which already had me less than thrilled with the price for some steps (a month later and no ETA). The one I got wasn't to tolerance - the steps were too wide and wouldn't seat all the way leaving the support bars unable to be joined. On top of that, they want me to Read more about review stating $24k and 30 days in, all kinds of problems and lacking supportassemble it myself, which isn't the end of the world but it's pretty crude for this purchase. The installers did look at the step and agreed it wasn't right. I sent it back with them. I'm still waiting for the replacement but when I checked today, the order status was simply "open" with no ETA.
    The side of the hot tub is bowed by a little over 1/2 inch on one side. Apparently it will be submitted for warranty. I've was given a roughly two week ETA. Its been a month and not a word from them.
    The wifi adaptor that plugs into my ethernet was in the tub, not sealed. Consequently, the water in there from the wet test drenched it making it useless. This got replaced a week later.
    The LCD on the hot tub worked for half a day and started to band before dying completely. That has been replaced and is working.
    The dealer wasn't open on Friday afternoon despite it being well within their business hours. Haven't followed up on the bowing of my spa.
    Last night the spa / open / closed stopped working - it seems it is because the cover warped at the corners. Again - its been a month.
    I believe all of these issues will be fixed and the dealer has been responsive but for the price, including the step, I shouldn't have any one issue on day 1, let alone four significant issues.

    The problem I have is that these are general QC issues from Bullfrog which does have me concerned about what else may be prone to failure. The disappointing part is that the spa, when in use, is great but I've used it nearly every day and still have spent more of my time trying to get it to the condition it should have arrived in. The spa should help me relax - its doing quite the opposite of that.

    We got our spa delivered yesterday. Really very disappointed with the product. The $1,000 (way overpriced) steps weren't to tolerance and had to be sent back because the steps wouldn't seat completely. The side of the hot tub is bowed by more than a half inch. Today, the electrician hooked it up and the breaker immediately trips. There is either a bad wire or the board is broken. For such an expensive spa, the quality control is terrible. To add to it, when I tried to get help or guidance, the retailed didn't pick up their phone. I drove there only to find they weren't open. This was two and a half hours before their posted close time. I would suggest passing on Bullfrog until they get the QC and support fixed.

    The last review I posted was deleted (in violation of The Consumer Review Fairness Act). I am documenting this post and will report to the FTC / state AGs if it happens again

    • Below is my honest opinion about the M8 we purchased in April 2021, for near ~$20k we were expecting a top-of-the-line product but was met with something a little underwhelming.1. Bullfrog prides itself on unique modular spa seats, but the plastic retention pieces that came with the spa were weak and defective, we had only swapped perhaps 4 or 5 seats, and 3 headrest retention clips broke off (well, one came broken), those were easy to replace enough but 1 of the seat retention clips also snapped during a seat swap, rendering the seat unusable until we secured a replacement. Replacing the clip was difficult as it required chiseling away all the messy spray insulation foam behind each panel. Now we simply don't replace or move seats for fear of breaking some thing again. *To be fair, we were told by our dealer that Bullfrog has replaced the retention clips with sturdier plastic, which we purchased out of pocket. Imo with a true "elite luxury" line, a headache like this would not have occurred.
      2. The touch screen panel has a difficult user experience and is missing various settings. For instance, there is no way to dim the lights without using the app, and upon a power cycle the settings reset. Moreover, the touch screen has no method of a manual lock screen, it does automatically locks itself after a long period of time, and to unlock it you swipe an icon into a box. But this is flawed because condensation from the cover drips down onto the screen and effectively triggers random touch presses. On several occasions we caught the spa waking itself up due to water droplets on the screen, trigger the pumps to go On/Off repeatedly. To alleviate this we have to remember to go in the settings menu and do a "Full Lock" with a pass code each time.
      3. The spa control malfunctioned and heated up to 107+ on a few occasions which did (and should) trigger a lockout. We are not sure why and had to reset the circuit breaker or just wait for the spa to cool down. This might have been related to the touch screen not being locked. Just another moment when I expected quality and was met with headache and worry instead.
      4. Finally, the high price tag on the M series is largely attributed to its aesthetics, but the veneer wood finish on the cabinets began to fade after only 8 months. Now instead of a beautiful (faux) wood grain exterior, we are left with splotches of faded white and grey plastic, the brown color has faded to some degree on each of the corner cabinets in the mid section, indicating some kind of a manufacturing/finishing defect. We are working with our dealer to get this refinished or replaced.
      All-in-all I would think twice before spending your money on a high-dollar M series spa, maybe go with a cheaper R series with the same strong jets, or go with a more quality line altogether. I wish I had done more research before being sold on the shiny veneer (that didn't last) and the swappable jets (that I'm afraid to swap)

    I thought I was buying top of the line but I did not (I got the M8). I bought this to be able to control the temperature remotely because this hot tub has to make it through freezing northern winters, but the remote access (in.touch) system is flawed an only connects to the spa 25% of the time. Aside from poor quality and unclean finishing touches, less than two months after getting it, the keypad controller died on me (in October). This means that I am going into the winter with no way to control the temperature or even see what it is. I am very afraid of what the winter will bring for this hot tub

    Purchasing a spa during the supply chain issues COVID brought all of us, was interesting to say the least. Once we finally found Bullfrog, we were sold! Researching, measuring, and visiting the showroom at least three times - we settled on the M8. It was WELL worth the wait!!
    We have shuffled our jet packs a few times now, and I think we finally found the best combination for our needs - even saying this just tells you how important this feature really is, since no other spa we saw had this technology. The chemicals have been very easy to use, and we even added in an additional skin softening regimen that has really helped my skin.
    It's been a great additional to our home, and it's not even spa season - yes, I'm a crazy person who has been using it in 108 degree heat (spa set to 101 so at least it's cooler than the air temperature)! I'm an interior designer, so for me to find a spa that I didn't want to hide... that was a real win! The style of the M8 and finishes were FANTASTIC!! Couldn't believe it! The Frame and color blend in perfectly into our backyard.

    The price of the hot tub is really expensive. The jets are nice but the external panels are difficult to connect. It's like the design is flawed. Please come up with a better design to hang side panels. Also head covers have broke at the connection multiple times. Need to rethink that design. The hooks that the jet pack connect to have broken. Furthermore the external lights are flawed and don't turn off. They stay on all the time.

    I am a previous owner of a Bullfrog Hot Tub, so I understand the difference of what else is offered in the market. This is a top-of-the-line performer. Customizable, with strong motors that can move a bunch of water. Six different seat backs, each that provide a different feel. I love my new Spa.
